Womens boxer shorts are a trend, and they’re about to get even more so, with the latest research showing the trend is set to overtake the men’s styles.
Womens underwear, or boxer shorts, were once the women’s clothing, but with a few notable exceptions, the women are now starting to outshine the men.
“I’ve been in the sport of boxing for 30 years, so I’ve seen the change,” says Julie O’Neill, the owner of the sportswear and sportswoman brand, O’Nell.
“It’s not a huge change, but women are starting to take the lead.”
O’Neill and her team are hoping to change that by making boxer shorts a more fashionable trend.
She says there’s a lot more attention paid to the quality of the materials and the fit, and with a new trend for women to take a stand, she’s hoping to see more of the trend become more mainstream.
“It’s a new era in women’s footwear and the sport, so to be able to wear a pair of boxer shorts to work in the office and not have to worry about looking bad and being ridiculed is exciting,” she says.
“The women’s style is really evolving and becoming more relevant, which is great.
I think we are just in the right time.”
The most exciting trends to watch forWomans boxer shorts could be more mainstream, says O’Neil, as the trend has started to take off in Australia.
“I think the Australian market is really big.
There’s a growing market of people that want to get their kicks in and that’s something that we need to be a part of,” she said.”
“They’re not always going to be wearing it in the evening, but if they are, they’re going to look really good and feel good about themselves.””

“They are very versatile and can go out for coffee, go out and socialise, go to the gym and go to a club, go skiing, go cycling.”
“There’s a big trend now, with women in particular, who are looking for something that’s very practical, lightweight and that can be worn anywhere.”

“But what about the quality?
We want to make sure that they’re very comfortable, comfortable enough for people to wear them, so they’re not going anywhere. “
The fit of boxer briefs is not going to change in the next few years, but we’re looking at the quality,” says O’the.

O’den says that’s what makes the trend so exciting.
“You can’t just do what you want to do and expect it to go away.
It’s just a matter of time and people just start to think differently,” she laughs.”
People will just find different ways to wear the same styles and you can be seen in them and they will see that and start to get inspired by it.”
